Cut And Paste Artist Residency

McGuffey Middle & High School - Fall 2020

Students were in hybrid school- sometimes in person with arts specialist Michelle Urbanek- and sometimes learning virtually. With this in mind, we created artwork that could be translated between being made by hand, and made digitally. After experiments, reflection, and thoughtful choices, the students each created a zine (a mini self-published magazine) with hand painted and drawn elements, plus digital characters and patterns. Our theme was ‘Advice for a Future High Schooler”.
