Living Histories Artist Residency

McGuffey Middle & High School - Spring 2020

We started this residency just weeks into the COVID pandemic. We learned a lot about how to do things cirtually and digitally very fast! Using both handmade art methods on paper and digital methods, the students explored line and pattern to create maps of where they were spending time. Many students depicted their homes in creative ways, or the outdoor spaces they frequented. We also explored digital “selfie” portraits that represented the changes in our lives we were all experiencing using digital photography and drawing with Aggie.io, a browser- based drawing website.
